Visits to Atlantic Museum should be booked through an authorised diving center in Lanzarote, since all visitors must be accompanied by a certified eco diving guide. Diving centers offer different packages and services for all levels, with pick up from your resort, tickets to the museum, eco guide, boat transportation, equipment, photos, etc.

Non divers

Non divers can join a snorkelling surface tour of the museum or contract a special visitation program with a diving center. Many diving schools in Lanzarote offer packages including an introductory course and baptism dive with a certified guide and boat transportation to Museo Atlantico.

  • Opening hours

    Office hours: 10h00 to 17h00 (Monday to Friday)
    Diving hours: 10h00 to 15h40

  • Entrance Fees

    Adults diving: 12 EUR/person
    Adults snorkelling: 8 EUR/person

  • Meeting Point for Dives

    Departures take place at Marina Rubicón port located in Playa Blanca, but some diving centres also offer transfers from other places in Lanzarote such as Costa Teguise, Puerto del carmen, La Santa and Arrecife..

  • Visit Duration

    Visits last up to 1 hour.

  • Requirements

    All diving visitors must have a PADI certification and be accompanied by a certified guide. For snorkelling, visitors must be at least 8 years old and be able to swim.
    Under-aged visitors need a signed parental consent.

  • PADI Rules

    Further to the prior requirements, the following rules apply:

    • 8 year-old PADI certified visitors can dive up to 2.5 m
    • 10 year-old PADI certified visitors up to 12 m
    • 15 year-old PADI certified visitors may dive up to 18 m

  • Health Recommendations

    If you have any health issues that may prevent you from doing an activity, please consult your diving company.
    Diving and snorkelling are not recommended for pregnant women, as well as people with:

    • Heart condition;
    • Asthma or other respiratory disease;
    • Hangover or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.


Museo Atlántico is the first underwater contemporary art museum in Europe and the Atlantic Ocean.
Covering 2.500 square-metres the underwater Atlantic Museum has a unique and permanent collection of statues. The statues are placed at a depth of 12 to 15 metres, in a place chosen mainly due to the physical characteristics of its sea bottom.
Lanzarote’s underwater Museo Atlantico is situated in a protected area by Coloradas Bay, Playa Blanca, located off the south coast of Lanzarote, Spain.
